This project involved designing retail packaging for an existing group of products that had been previously shipped from a fulfillment center in generic bulk packaging. The design process involved market research of retail products in the same product area; dental cleaners, oral care, etc. I mocked up several designs intended to make this product stand out on store shelves already crowded with existing brands. A focus group reviewed and discussed all of the designs and we chose the design that would best appeal to the demographic.

I adapted the design for the outer packaging and the boxes for the inner components and related products to create a cohesive family of packages.
The design was presented as 3D renders in both studio and store-shelf settings before the retail packaging was produced. This allowed us to get a good sense of how the package would perform in a real-world setting, and work out any issues that were not evident in a flat-art presentation or less realistic mockup.
